For first-time buyers we usually recommend starting at AAA to find your baseline before deciding whether to go up or down in grade.

Indica strains are traditionally associated with relaxing, sedating body effects — ideal for evening use, pain relief and sleep. Sativa strains tend to produce more cerebral, uplifting and energising effects suited to daytime use and creative activities. Hybrid strains are crossbreeds that carry characteristics of both, often leaning one way or the other depending on the dominant genetics. It is worth noting that modern cannabis genetics have blurred these lines considerably — terpene profiles and cannabinoid ratios often matter more than the Indica or Sativa classification alone. Use the strain classification as a starting guide rather than an absolute.

THCa (tetrahydrocannabinolic acid) is the raw, non-psychoactive precursor to THC found in the live cannabis plant. In its natural state, THCa does not produce psychoactive effects. However, when heated through smoking, vaporising or baking — a process called decarboxylation — THCa converts to Delta-9 THC and produces the same psychoactive effects as regular cannabis flower. In terms of appearance, smell and smoke, THCa flower is virtually identical to traditional cannabis. The distinction matters primarily for legal and testing purposes in certain jurisdictions where THCa may fall into a different regulatory category than Delta-9 THC flower.

Store your flower in an airtight container — ideally glass — away from direct light, heat and humidity. A dark cupboard or drawer at room temperature is ideal. Avoid plastic bags as they create static that strips trichomes from the surface of the bud. Do not store in the refrigerator as temperature fluctuations and moisture cause condensation that degrades quality over time. Properly stored flower maintains its potency and aroma for 6 to 12 months. Humidity control packs set at 62% RH placed inside your container help maintain the ideal moisture level and prevent the flower from either drying out or going mouldy.
